Portfolio: Datblygiadau Egni Gwledig (DEG)

I built DEG’s original website in 2015 and have been maintaining it ever since.

Director Grant decided the website could do with some modernisation and some space to add some extra content, plus we needed to cull some old downloadable documents on the website that were no longer relevant.

I had several meetings with Grant and his team, where we looked at ways to improve the information flow and update the design to include features Grant and the team had liked on other organisations’ websites. Armed with this information I did some research and built a staging website so that we could work on the new design without putting the existing website into maintenance mode.

We finally launched the new website at the beginning of September 2020.

Rewriting a website is a big piece of work and we really struggled to find the time but Debs was hugely patient and helped us break down the task into smaller achievable steps. Debs even wrote some content for us and was very helpful in the initial creative process of defining a structure that works. Nothing is ever too much for Debs and I’ve always found it an absolute pleasure to work with her.
