Portfolio: Acacia and Pine
Whew, where do I start with this one?!
Every now and then you get a client that you connect with on such a cellular level, you find yourself becoming such good pals that you actually let them befriend you on Facebook. That might not sound a big deal to some people, but to me it’s a massive one – FB is my last bastion of privacy and my FB profile is not opened up to just any old person, and very rarely indeed to clients!
But Mona is different. She’s my tribe.
Mona’s website is one of my favourites that I’ve ever built for a client. I love her products and her branding – not just the brand visuals, but everything the brand stands for – and I love the challenge she laid down for me when she wanted all kinds of things I’d not done before (plus one or two I might have suggested, like the colour-changing background on one of the home page panels).
At Acacia and Pine, if you order one of Mona’s stunning bullet journals, a tree gets planted. Such a simple idea, and it all happens completely automatically. Mona’s products – and the website itself – are also made with sight impairments in mind, which is something I bet most business owners don’t give a second thought to.
Also, SO MUCH PINK. Maybe not to everybody’s taste, but it’s definitely to mine – and, most importantly, to Mona’s! She’s absolutely delighted with her website, and here’s her testimonial to prove it! :)
