Portfolio: GwyrddNi

Another old client who often comes back to me with new projects needing new websites – and who also very kindly recommends me to other organisations! This time the referrer was DEG, with whom I’ve been working for many years.

DEG had launched a new project, GwyrddNi, which initially had its own page on the DEG website. However, it soon became clear that GwyrddNi was a large enough project to require its very own website, so I worked with GwyrddNi’s Community Communications Officer, Casia Wiliam, to get one built as quickly as possible.

The new GwyrddNi website is by no means large, but it does exactly what the organisation needs it to do. First off, there’s a blog where Casia can publish news stories and features. Then there’s the rather groovy map with clickable regions which was a lot of fun to create (in case you’re wondering – I used a plugin, Draw Attention, which is brilliant to work with). We also added some funky image hover items on the home page, for a more visual navigation system to complement the text navigation in the header. And, of course, the entire website is bilingual.

Casia’s brief was fantastic – there was no messing about, just up and at it, bish bash bosh! – so we were able to launch the new website very quickly. Casia is over the moon with the new website, and had this to say about it:

Debs recently built a brand new website for us. It needed to be turned around quickly and Debs managed to understand the brief and deliver it in a very short time-frame. I was able to get back to Debs with any changes, suggestions and amends as needed and they were executed pretty much straight away.
