Portfolio: Earthsong
A friend of mine saw Earthsong’s search for a web designer on Facebook and forwarded the details to me so that I could offer my services. I had a Zoom meeting with Earthsong’s founders Storme, Angela and Gill, and we instantly clicked, so I got the job – hooray!
Storme, who led the web design project, had very specific ideas about how the website should look. Each of Earthsong’s music workshops for schools needed its own page with its own unique header image, and this was before WordPress Full Site Editing came into existence so I wrote some CSS code to achieve it. The result is a really unique website design which without Storme’s input I would never have thought to create, so full credit for the design of the website belongs to Storme himself!
Storme is delighted with Earthsong’s new website. He said:
Debs has been a pleasure to work with, and it was very important for us to work with someone who listened and understood where we were coming from – as our work is feeling based and so not so straightforward to get ourselves properly represented online.
We needed to get the right feel across to our customers – so the site needed to give the right feeling.
Debs has has allowed us to decide what the website should be like where we felt confident, but has been a great and patient mentor for us where we found we didn’t have understanding in how the website should be constructed and how it would work. Where research was needed Debs went ahead and did the graft and came back with solutions – but also choices.
We’re really happy with the result and are proud of our new site.
Thank you Debs!
